This is the second time that Kohli will be honoured with the Polly Umrigar Award, after winning it in 2011-12. The previous two winners of the prestigious award are pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2013-14) and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (2012-13).
Apart from Kohli, former India wicket-keeper, Syed Kirmani, will be presented with the Col. CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award.
Karnataka State Cricket Association has been chosen as the state association of the year for achieving the treble of winning the Ranji Trophy, Irani Cup and Vijay Hazare Trophy in the 2014-15 season.
Mithali Raj will be presented M.A. Chidambaram Trophy for Best Woman Cricketer of 2014-15 in the senior category while Devika Vaidya will be awarded from the junior category.
Robin Uthappa will be awarded Madhavrao Scindia Award for highest scorer in the Ranji Trophy (2014-15) while R Vinay Kumar and Shardul Thakur will be presented awards for taking highest wickets.
Jalaj Saxena will be presented Lala Amarnath Award for Best All-rounder in the Ranji Trophy (2014-15), Deepak Hooda will be presented Lala Amarnath Award for Best All-rounder in Domestic Limited-overs Competitions for (2014-15), Almas Shaukat gets M.A. Chidambaram Trophy for Best Under-23 Cricketer of (2014-15), Anmolpreet Singh gets M.A. Chidambaram Trophy for Best Under-19 Cricketer of (2014-15), Shubman Gill gets M.A. Chidambaram Trophy for Best Under-16 Cricketer of (2014-15).
O Nandan is named the Best Umpire in Domestic Cricket in 2014-15).
